Malford Milligan & The Southern Aces (USA)

Due to its powerful, hoarse voice and impressive appearance, Malford Milligan is often compared to soul icons such as Otis Redding and Al Green. Born as an albino in Taylor, Texas on March 29, 1959, racial tensions in his youth had a double impact. In 1981 he broke off his studies in sociology at the University in favor of music. Milligan hoped to be able to resume studying a year later, but things went differently.Milligan stood out during the weekly jam sessions at the Antone’s music club. He played with Stevie Ray Vaughan's Double Trouble, The Boneshakers, and founded successful Texan all-star band Storyville. The music is intense, danceable and energetic.
