TIM KNOL & BLUE GRASS BOOGIEMEN (NL)
Tim Knol and the award-winning Blue Grass Boogiemen are back with Ride Again! Their previous, successful programme Lost & Found III left them wanting more. The five friends challenge each other with their virtuoso string playing; the fun radiates from the stage. The joint album Ride Again, the successor to their acclaimed album Happy Hour, was also released especially for this theatre tour.
The musicians dig further into the rich history of bluegrass and country music. They have a fine nose for the rough edges of performers such as Townes Van Zandt, The Stanley Brothers and Flatt and Scruggs. In Ride Again they play the songs from their new album and the music of their heroes, interspersed with anecdotes about them.
