In the year that the Bintangs celebrate their 65th anniversary (1961-2026), the oldest band in the Netherlands has decided to make this anniversary their final sprint.
After careful consideration, the Bintangs have decided to embark on a farewell tour in 2026, titled "BINTANGS BYE BYE"! That year, the band plans to visit several favorite venues and festivals to say goodbye to their loyal fans in the typical Bintangs way. The very last concert will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Victorie in Alkmaar. It promises to be a spectacular show! It's rare for a band to have graced the stage for so long. The last ten years have included Marco Nicola, Dagomar Jansen, Burt van der Meij, and Bintang founder Frank Kraaijeveld. With this lineup, the Bintangs recorded three albums and performed some wonderful concerts. They've revived the "Rhythm and Blues" sound. There's still plenty of energy! But you have to stop at some point, so the band is doing just that in its 65th anniversary year. The Bintangs would like to thank all their loyal fans who have supported the band for years with great dedication and perseverance. The band would also like to thank the crew, who toured with them for years. It's a difficult decision for the Bintangs, but it's what it is! BYE BYE.
